To increase the audience for news bulletins about JMR, I have combined JMR email updates to the JMR mailing list with a general-interest cultural newsletter entitled "John Marks Recommends." In "John Marks Recommends" I discuss recordings, books, video programming on DVD and VHS, and also food and wine. Many of the world's best-known audio and music journalists subscribe to "John Marks Recommends."

Issues come out an average of two every month. Each issue is authoritative, concise, non-html, family-friendly, and positive in tone. This is a one-way newsletter mailing list, not a discussion group. We do not rent out or sell subscribers' email addresses. List management services are provided by Topica.com.
